Established in 2006, and receiving its IRS designation in March 2007, Chatham is a private, not-for-profit regional community development and service organization providing housing and training services to Veterans, and low-income families. Chatham is chartered to conduct business throughout
New York and in December 2011 received approval from the State of Massachusetts to conduct business in the Commonwealth as an IRS approved 501c3. Chatham has successfully operated housing development programs funded by federal, state, local, and private sources in the development, construction ownership and self-management of JOSANA Single Family Homes, LLC; 10 - 3 bedroom project based homes and in providing IDDP grant funds to Ogden Heights Senior affordable and Farmington Senior affordable Communities.
Chatham is governed by a five-member Board of Directors comprised of private, affordable and former Veteran armed service persons.
